The Left Bank Art Gallery Grey Mouth is housed in the former Bank of New Zealand. The main gallery and vault spaces display regular exhibits of contemporary New Zealand paintings, prints, photography, sculpture and crafts, with an emphasis on local content.
The Gallery is the head quarters for the West Coast Society of Arts a regional arts society based in Greymouth whose members are active practicing artists with painters, potters, sculptors, photographers, weavers, mixed media, carvers, or work in other mediums.The Society is dedicated to the overall development of the ARTS on the West Coast by supporting artists in providing a venue to display or perform their art, by providing a means to connect artists with customers and by providing opportunities for artists to improve their skills.*CANVAS PROJECT MAJOR FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR THE GALLERY — Viewing from 13th JULY with Auction Party Music, Draw and FUN NIGHT OUT on SAT 28th July 7pmYOUTH ART EXPO.
